Drinking too much water is not good for your health. 8 glasses of water are an exaggeration

Water is vital for health and well-being, however its excessive consumption can be harmful to health. The studies are not all unanimous, but the last study concluded that drinking eight glasses of water a day harms health.

According to the University of Aberdeen, one should take into account the water we eat and the one that is present in the food we eat: "The water we would need to drink is the difference between the total water we need to eat and the amount we get from our food," explains John Speakman.

Not all people have the same need to drink so much water, depending on the climate they live in and if they practice a lot of physical exercise. The body will try its best to eliminate excess water, since the food we consume has a lot of water present in its composition.
