Australian magazine Men's Health goes bankrupt and closes

Two of the largest magazines in Australia, Men's Health and Women's Health, have closed due to successive economic crises that the media and technology sector has been facing.

The 20 employees who worked for both magazines were notified of the collective dismissal and the physical and online closure of Men's Health and Women's Health just two weeks in advance. Both magazines were purchased by Paragon Media in December 2020.

Bauer Media Australia had closed the two magazines during the COVID-19 pandemic. Men's Health and Women's Health were acquired by Paragon Media in December 2020 promising to "recharge the iconic brands". However, the crisis we are experiencing gave rise to nothing but the closure of the magazines.
